Conditions of Sale - CANADA

  • 1. FHA’s sales commission is 11%

  • 2. There are shipping costs for using FHA’s pickup services and sending your fur through our agents. Please check your appropriate schedule for the applicable amounts.

  • 3. Outside of Ontario, shippers should send through an FHA Receiving Agent. Our agent will obtain the appropriate provincial permits for shipping to North Bay, Ontario.

  • 4. For Provinces that still charge royalties, if not previously paid, royalties will be deducted and remitted to the province in question, when applicable.

  • 5. Receipts will be issued when the fur is picked up. Quantities are “ Subject to count” by our receiving department at our warehouse.

  • 6. FHA’s sales are conducted in U.S. dollars. Payment is converted and paid to you in Canadian dollars for Canadian shippers. Canadian shippers can request to be paid in U.S. funds.

  • 7. FHA will sell your pelts at its discretion. As always, FHA will continue to protect your interest and obtain the best possible price.

  • 8. Your fur shipment is insured by FHA when a receipt is issued and the fur is in our agent’s possession.

  • 9. Trappers with inactive accounts or accounts with sales under $5.00 will not receive a cheque or statement. However, these proceeds will be kept in your account and once your sales surpass $5.00 a cheque will be issued. Previous statements can be viewed on your online account. If you need help accessing your account, please contact our office.

  • 10. Drumming charges will be deducted for all long hair species that are drummed. Drumming improves the appearance of the long hair pelts and increases their value.

  • 11. A shrinkage allowance is calculated on all castoreum shipments. The amount of the allowance is at FHA’s discreation.

  • 12. Unsold pelts are not returnable. They will be reoffered on subsequent sales until sold or in the case of poor quality skins to be declared “no value”. Skins that have no commercial value will be turned over to the Ministry of Natural Resources for disposal. These skins will appear on your printout as “ no value”
